MAPPS and ASPRS are once again organizing a dynamic conference around the theme of “Measuring the Earth (Part II): Latest Developments with Digital Surface Modeling and Automated
Feature Extraction.” Following the successful joint 2001 Conference on “Digital Elevation
Technologies and Applications” and the 2003 Conference on “Terrain Data: Application and Visualization — Making the Connection,” this meeting will build on those experiences and will focus on the evolving technology, applications, and standards that have been developed
over the last two years with emphasis on automated feature extraction.
From sensor to desktop, MAPPS and ASPRS invite you to join them in presenting the latest technologies in acquisition and applications in remote sensing, mapping, and GIS and the latest
developments and implementation of automated operations with minimal human intervention.
Data, data users, and value-added providers will have the opportunity to share their experiences
using these advanced and exciting new technologies to optimize projects, analyze and solve problems, and explore new applications and technology improvements. This conference will once again offer a mix of general sessions, breakout technical sessions, and an applications showcase on project acquisition and applications, automated feature extraction,
visualization, simulation, research and development, hazards, and more. Interested participants are encouraged to submit proposed presentations.
